In October 2025 we visited the water inlet area between Vancouver Island and the Canadian mainland on a National Geographic / Lindblad Expeditions ship for a week. There was a lot to see. So much so, that I posted them in two parts. Here are some of my favorite photos. Some are artistic, and some are just touristy.

Our cabin was on the to deck, the two large windows near the front.
This image (above) was taken on a land bridge between Tenedos Bay and Unwin Lake, in an area mapped out as the Theodosia Arm, British Columbia, and has been upscaled, roughly doubling the pixel count, enabling high quality enlargements with great detail. Question - click below.

Alert Bay, also known as 'Yalis, inKwak'wala, near northeast Vancouver Island, Canada. We spent a day there, walking along the bay to the U'mista Cultural Centre.
